How to compare tutoring costs in Thailand

Compare quotes for the same lesson duration, including materials, travel and package conditions. This guide does not assert an unverified market range or platform starting price.

On Lerniva each tutor sets their own hourly price, and the booking shows the total before you confirm. One platform’s prices are not a survey of the entire Thai market.[1]

Illustrative calculation: a hypothetical quote of THB 400/hour for four 1.5-hour lessons gives 400 × 1.5 × 4 = THB 2,400. This is arithmetic, not a tutor quote or package offer.

For a package, check usable hours, expiry, rescheduling/cancellation conditions and the actual total. A lower hourly figure is not automatically better value.

Before you decide

  1. 1

    Request comparable quotes

Use the same subject, level, group size and lesson duration.

  2. 2

    Calculate the total

Multiply the hourly rate by duration and lesson count, then add confirmed extras.

  3. 3

    Read terms before paying

Keep the quote and terms; old promotional text is not a current offer.

Frequently asked questions

Is the profile price what I will pay?

Not always. Profile prices are per hour; the total depends on the hours and any discount. Check the total in the booking before confirming.

Does Lerniva set one price for every tutor?

No. Each tutor sets their own price; compare using the same lesson length.
