Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Find answers to common questions about using Lerniva
General Questions
What is Lerniva?
Lerniva helps learners find and compare tutor profiles in Thailand. Check each profile’s subjects, levels, rates, available reviews and lesson formats, then confirm details and availability before booking.
Why choose Lerniva?
Compare profile information about subjects, levels, rates and available reviews. Filter around your goals, then ask the tutor about relevant experience, teaching approach and availability before deciding.
How many tutors are available?
The displayed result count depends on your filters and currently loaded profiles; it is not the platform’s total tutor count. A matching profile does not confirm an available slot. Check the schedule and confirm availability before booking.
Who is Lerniva suitable for?
Learners and parents can compare tutors around learning goals, including exam preparation. Prospective tutors should read the regulations and application steps before submitting their information.
Booking & Payment
How do I book a tutor?
Open a profile, check subjects, rates, lesson format and schedule, then follow the booking steps shown in the platform. Check the lesson’s confirmation and payment status before starting.
What is the starting price?
Tutors set their own rates. Check the current rate, pricing unit and lesson details before booking.
How do I pay?
Check the payment methods, amount and deadline shown for that lesson before proceeding. Review booking and payment status in the platform; this FAQ summary does not replace the booking instructions.
My payment slip was rejected — what now?
Check the reason shown in the payment status before proceeding. If you have already transferred money, keep the evidence and contact Support with the lesson details. A rejected slip alone does not confirm an automatic refund. Review and handling follow the verified status and applicable policies.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Reschedule requests must be submitted in the platform at least two days before the original lesson. The tutor must respond within 24 hours and at least 24 hours before the original lesson. Cancellation refunds follow the cancellation policy.
About Tutors
Are tutors verified?
Check each tutor’s profile information and displayed verification statuses, such as identity and education. Individual statuses can differ. Verification does not guarantee learning outcomes; ask about relevant experience and read available reviews before booking.

Do tutors teach both online and in-person?
Depends on each tutor. Some teach only online, some only in-person, and some offer both. You can filter tutors by teaching type in the search page.

Earnings become available 48 hours after a completed lesson. You can request a cash-out on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, once every 7 days, up to ฿50,000 per request, to your verified bank account; we transfer within 3 business days. Check the destination account and details shown in the platform before submitting a withdrawal request.

Read the tutor regulations and prepare the subjects, education, experience and documents requested during application. Submitting an application does not mean the profile is immediately approved for publication.
Safety & Security
How safe is the platform?
Before deciding, check the profile and displayed verification statuses, read reviews and agree on goals, lesson format and lesson details. Use the platform’s reporting tools or Support center if a profile or behaviour seems suspicious.
Is my personal data safe?
Read Lerniva’s Privacy Policy for information about collected data, its purposes and contact options before submitting information. Avoid sharing documents or personal details unrelated to lessons in conversations.
How do I file a dispute?
If something went wrong with a lesson — a tutor no-show, or the lesson was not as agreed — go to "My Lessons", open the lesson in question, and press "File Dispute" (the button becomes available after the lesson end time). Choose the issue type and describe what happened. Our team reviews every dispute and coordinates with both sides; outcomes can include a refund, a make-up lesson, or another resolution per policy. You can track the dispute status on the same lesson page.
What if there's a problem during lessons?
Contact Support with the lesson and issue details, and keep relevant information for review. Response and resolution times depend on the issue and the information needed; immediate round-the-clock replies should not be assumed.
